Taskovski Films Ltd. is London based world sales and production company of independent documentary films. We welcome innovative, playful and risky forms of filmmaking capable of engaging and surprising audiences around the globe. Our passion is discovering new talent and authorial stories. Irena Taskovski is the founder and Managing Director of Taskovski Films. 

Taskovski Films is co-producer and sales agent of the multi-award winner documentaryCzech Dream (The most successful European documentary film), Czech Peace (Grand Prix DMZ Docs), People I could have been and maybe I am (Winner of IDFA, Visions du Réel, HotDocs), Cooking History, nominated for the European Academy Award, winner of special jury award at Hot Docs 2009, FIPRESCI Jury Award, Leipzig DOKS 2009, and many others.

Among our latest titles are Venice FF winner for the Best Documentary The 1000 Eyes of Dr. Maddin by Yves Montmayeur, about controversial Canadian film director Guy Maddin, multi-awarded, festival hit Lampedusa in Winter by Jakob Brossmann, deep insight into a situation of refugees in Europe, Olmo and The Seagull, exceptional docu-fiction by Petra Costa and Lea Glob.

 

Taskovski Films representative Michaela Cajkova:

Currently finishing film producing at FAMU in Prague. Obtained MA in Political Economy and International Relations at Masaryk university and BA in Film history and theory. She produced various short movies and one feature film called Uncle Victor (dir. Viktoria Rampal Dzurenko). After staying in Bezalel Academy in Israel she decided to focus on documentary films. She participated in various workshops for producers and filmmakers (Making Waves Berlinale, Selling Point Moscow IFF, Talent Campus Odense IFF). First she joined Taskovski Films in 2014 in their Berlin office and now she works from Prague as a festival, sales & acquisition coordinator.
