bringing people the funny!
Michele Karpel is a native Californian. An actual "valley girl". Michele started out as very serious theatrical actress who studied at the Lee Strasberg Institute. She followed that up by studying under John Lehne but felt the comedy bug sneaking its way into my work.
Michele found herself attending Improv Olympics and then Second City Los Angeles where she discovered her love of writing and honed her comedic and improvisational skills with Second City Los Angeles. After graduating from Second City, Michele was one of sketch comedy group (Girls Gone Funny) that performed at Second City for 2 years.
Michele is in currently in post production for a short film she wrote and produced entitled “Abashed” which will, hopefully make its way successfully through the festival circuit and beyond. Additionally, she continues to hone her writing skills as a standup comic, appearing at such venues as the Comedy Store, the Improv, Flappers, Jon Lovitz Comedy Club to name a few.
Michele’s current and most important project of all is her family. Her husband, Adam Karpel, her 9 year old son Stuart and her 5 year old daughter Maddie.
